Direct To Garment Printing (DGP)

There is a great similarity to the Giclée process of printing. Computerized line drawings determine the proper color mix for both. DGP differs in that the digital printer uses a textile water based ink with chemical binders. The ink is cured with a heat press, whereas inks used in the Giclée printouts are air dried. Compared to Screen Printing, DGP offers a full palette of colors; screen printing is limited to the color separations, often time no more than four colors.
