In Ken's own words..... "I was born in Shanghai, China on Sept. 17 1973. I moved to the United States when I was five years old. As a child, I always watched my mother and grand mother paint. Both are academic painters from the Russian and French schools of painting. Even at my young age, I knew I wanted to be an accomplished classical painter one-day. Soon my mother and grandmother began to teach me to draw from life, showing me how to draw vases and plaster casts lying around the studio. In high school and college I was disappointed with the education offered in painting, so after graduation I left for Italy to continue my training. My goal in life has always been to continue our traditional forms of art, whether they are in painting, sculpture or literature. Keeping our culture and tradition alive for the new generations to come." Religious Icons and
